About the artist
Katsushika Hokusai is one of Japan’s most celebrated masters of ukiyo-e woodblock printing. Renowned for The Great Wave off Kanagawa and his Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji series, Hokusai captured the spirit of nature and everyday life with remarkable depth and movement. His bold compositions and refined use of color redefined landscape art in Japan. Today, his influence extends far beyond Asia, inspiring generations of artists across the world.
